Students Going Global
Creating Global Citizens for a Global Economy
“The single greatest gift you can give your children today is to raise them with a global mindset.”
Perry Yeatman, co-author of Get Ahead by Going Abroad
We are a global education program. We provide enriching local, national and international outward bound educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth in underserviced cities. Exposure and experience is most important to reach one’s full potential. “It’s difficult to imagine all that you can be when you have a very limited view.” Students Going Global is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable, nonprofit organization, serving the Detroit area.
The opportunity to travel with Students Going Global on an Educational Tour Abroad and to participate in any one of its six year-round, global education centered youth development programs is available to all academically motivated high school students, grades 9-12, who reside in Detroit and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Low-income students will receive a full scholarship to participate.
The goal of Students Going Global is to become a staple in Detroit and ultimately a national organization, creating globally-minded, community-conscious and solution-oriented leaders, thinkers and doers who become major contributors to their communities and to a global society.
Students Going Global utilizes Educational Tours Abroad, Global Education Centered Youth Development Programs and Community Outreach Projects to support and empower disadvantaged youth.
