The College Mentorship Program provides an innovative and attainable way for students who are attending a Detroit area college to incorporate multiple travel abroad experiences into their undergraduate and graduate college education experience and graduate from college more well-rounded, more globally-minded, more aware and more connected to themselves and to the world around them.

Through the College Mentorship Program, annual opportunities to travel abroad as mentors are made possible for Detroit area college students who want to help shape the lives of rising young Detroit scholars through mentorship. College students will mentor and travel abroad with high school students enrolled in the Club Global Program at Students Going Global, sharing their knowledge of college and career success and global education and awareness, before and during a tour abroad.

The program attracts and retains talent in Detroit, increases post-secondary youth engagement in global education and awareness and makes educational group travel abroad opportunities possible for college students in Detroit.

The program services undergraduate and graduate college students attending a four-year college or university in Detroit and gives preference to students pursuing International Careers, STEM Careers and Global Studies.

We recruit college students through our partnerships with Detroit area colleges.
